День двадцать четвертый / Day twenty fourth

Total time 7 hours 4 minutes. Total distance aprox. 31 km ( in Melide RunKeeper starts flying me around the town, when I was in cafe. - 6 km )

Прошел около 31 километра за 7 часов 4 минуты. RunKeeper опять изобразил из меня пулю в городишке Мелиде, где я зашел в кафе, а он намотал экстра 6 км.

Today I woke up enough early - around 6 am. Somebody turned on lights and I didn't get any chance to sleep as usual until at least seven. It was bad idea to walk in the night. Outside was completely dark! I spent as much time as I can to pack my staff and around 7 am left albergue. Still night outside. Definitely bad idea. I just walk 200 meters and saw restaurant that I had dinner yesterday. It was open. I got inside, order coffee and started to wait real morning. After 8 am it started more or less bright outside that I can go.

After an hour or so I noticed very familiar siluette ahead of me. I added speed and in couple of minutes I reach Andrew. He was very slow and almost sleeping on his way. I asked how he found Casanova? He answered Great!. Place was great, dinner was great, everything was GREAT, except one pilgrim ruined whole night for everyone by snoring as elephant. As Andrew said, probably he was only person who slept this night.

Some time we walked together , but he was really sleeping on his way. I just added some speed and moved ahead.

Today as well I crossed another border between subprovince Lugo and A Coruna. And Santiago de Compostella is part of A Coruna. I'm on finishing line!!!

In couple of hours I reached town of Melide. I was walking through the town and enjoying beautiful architectur preserved from even X - XII centuries.

Suddenly I heard my name. Really my name. Somebody called me - I moved my eyes where voice coming from. Wau!!! There were three Flemishs ( Flemish - people from north of Belgium ) man Pascal, Danny and his 16 years old son Tino. They are sitting on opposite side of road in small caffe enjoying their drinks. I knew them almost from start of Camino. We enjoyed sometime in good conversation. Tino, even he is very yang, is very clever kid. In one of albergue I helped him play his FIRST chess game against Tim, young German I mention before. He was very successful and missed a little just to win. On Camino you can familiar faces everywhere!!! I waved them by hand said my usual "See you in the future!" and continue my walk through the town.

In one moment I stopped and see the sign I dreamed of all Camino - CHURROS. CHURROS - national Galician delicious special bread type. Sticks and chocolate. But there is real chocolate. When you put one of these sticks into chocolate , it can stay there vertical without any additional support. Anyway, I liked them so much, I ordered and enjoyed whole half an hour ( which for pilgrim is quite a time - I'm getting my lunch usually in 10 minutes ).
With new power added by CHURROS and chocolate I continue my Camino. In couple of hours I reach Flemish guys and we walked rest of today part till Arzuo together. I'm very like how Tobi appreciate that his dad did for him brought him to Camino. They found new connection between dad and son, which probably won't never found outside of Camino.

When we discussed how many pilgrims after Sarria ( little more than 100 km from Samtiago ) walking with light backpack or even without ones. Tobi found good name for them - turigrim. Which means tourist who count himself as pilgrim.

Discussing different part of our life and different culture we slowly reached town of Arzua, where we planned to. Stay. I got into first albergue where wi-fi was availible. Flemish guys got to another where was stove and kitchen. In Camino you are free to select and make preferences.
Tomorrow I'm going to see Santiago Cathedral. Not from close , but at least. From aprox 5 km. Good night.
